Now that you have a successful online home based business, you might be curious as to how your competition is doing. Knowledgeable online surfers are constantly looking for the best prices and the best values. You should educate yourself in using the same price comparison websites that your online shoppers are using.

These price comparison websites can be general or can specialize in specific products or services. Examples of specific price comparison websites include finding the best credit card offers, insurance, mortgages and car sales. The online shopper can enter the specific product or service for which they are looking and perhaps interested in purchasing. The price comparison website can then provide a list of merchants sellling that specific product or service and in addition can provide the discount price for each merchant. The price comparison website also can rate the merchant based on customer satisfaction.

After the online shopper compares the different merchants, they then can go to the specific website abd place their order. This allows the online shopper to select the merchant with the best product and the best price.

Price comparison websites are able to stay in business by charging the online merchant to be listed in their website. You will find that if you are part of their price comparison list that you will drive traffic to your website and increase sales of your product or service.

However, if you are not providing a competitive price, the online shopper when using the price comparison website will choose another merchant that is more competitive. Knowing and using the price comparison websites will keep you more competitive in your specific market and will give you more exposure to the online shopper.

Why do we use this expression?  How did we get the name "filibuster" for legislative obstruction? Since the Spanish called a freebooting pirate out to get what he could for himself a filibustero, a legislator with similar ideas was given this name. The usual method employed for this prupose by the legislator was to obstruct the passage of all bills unitil his demands had been met. So today any legislator who obstructs the legislative procedure is said to "filibuster".
